What is Circly?
CIRCLY is a Windows-based tool used for mechanistic pavement design and analysis. It uses advanced pavement material properties and performance models. It's a key component of the AUSTROADS Australian Pavement Design Guide. CIRCLY has been used globally since 1987 and is included in the standard for road design in Australia and New Zealand. It calculates cumulative damage caused by traffic and provides Reduced Asphalt Thickness for Heavy-Duty Structures.
CIRCLY's interface is user-friendly and allows for easy input definition. It includes pavement and loading databases and lets users define their own material properties and loadings. It generates graphs that show the damage factor across the pavement. CIRCLY can produce graphs of displacement, strain, or stress. It has an Automatic Thickness Design feature which determines the optimum thickness of a layer quickly. It also includes a Parametric Analysis feature for optimizing up to three layers and a Cost Analysis feature to reduce construction and maintenance costs.
