NeoFinder information
What is NeoFinder?
NeoFinder (formerly known as CDFinder) is a powerful and very fast disk cataloging tool, reading metadata like EXIF, IPTC, JPG, TIFF, MP3, AAC (iTunes).
It rapidly catalogs your entire media and disk library, and your backup archive. NeoFinder keeps track of your documents, photos, songs, movies, and folders wherever they are stored. NeoFinder is your digital treasure chest!
Catalog everything: hard disks (internal, external, USB, FireWire, Thunderbolt), server disks, DVD-ROMs, CD-ROMs, iPods, Blu-ray, USB sticks, and get a full inventory of all files, folders, and important metadata, including thumbnails for photos and video files.

Comments and Reviews
Once a powerful searcher, it fails in advanced setup use today.
It forces error codes with external deives (SATA over USB). Drives will eject every time a database is created or added. This not only makes the parsing operation tedious, it risks data corruption.
I really missed Media Pro: it was fast, easy, useful on Mac and PC. It was the perfect software. But since then, after trying many DAM, I bought a license of NeoFinder. But it is not even half as good as Media Pro. It lacks important features; the interface is old and poorly designed. And it is super slow. The UI could be easily fixed (just hire an interface designer) and try to match iView capabilities from 15 years ago. I don't know what it takes to program and update an existing software, but what is needed is obvious.
