What is Carnac?
Carnac the Magnificent Keyboard Utility
This idea was spawned from a previous project written by Roy Osherove called Keyboard Jedi. At its core, the tool is about displaying keyboard shortcuts to users. It does some cool things to help (force?) the user to become better acquainted with the keyboard.

Oh it's open source and displays keystrokes very elegantly, I nly wish there was a way to enable click and scroll indicators too.

Oh it works only with EN/US keyboard layouts... If you don't have it, don't use it. On github issues for "foreign layouts" are open and stay open without any answer.
this is true, good thing is someone fixed this on a branch that accepts foreign layouts and other popular requested features here: https://github.com/bfritscher/carnac/releases/tag/v3-beta
