What is BrightBean?
BrightBean is the YouTube intelligence layer that AI agents and developer tools can call via API. It exposes five structured endpoints — /content-gaps, /score/title, /score/thumbnail, /analyze/hook, and /benchmark — returning scored, ranked, actionable data rather than raw metrics.
The core problem BrightBean solves: YouTube has 31 million channels and zero intelligence APIs. vidIQ and TubeBuddy are dashboard tools with no public API, no programmatic access, and no agent integration. YouTube's own Data API returns raw numbers — views, likes, subscriber counts, but no scoring, no recommendations, and no optimization guidance.
BrightBean fills that gap for developers building content automation pipelines, AI agents, agencies managing multiple channels, and SaaS tools that need an embedded optimization engine.
Key capabilities:
- Content gap detection: input a niche, get high-demand topics with low competition, scored and ranked by opportunity
- Title scoring: input a title + niche, get a 0–100 score, pattern analysis against top performers, and rewrite suggestions
- Thumbnail intelligence: submit an image URL, get CTR prediction with face detection, contrast analysis, and niche benchmarking
- Hook analysis: classify the first 15 seconds of any video with engagement prediction
- Channel benchmarking: compare performance against niche averages across views/sub ratio, cadence, and title patterns
Available via REST API and MCP server. Free tier includes 500 API calls/month with no credit card required.
