Boundary is a software solution that facilitates access to applications and vital systems through fine-grained authorizations. The software is designed to provide secure access by integrating with any trusted identity provider already in use, and authorizing access according to granular, logical roles and services.

The software also features a connection management system for dynamic infrastructures. It integrates service registries to ensure that host and service catalogs are consistently updated. To mitigate the risk of credential leaks, Boundary employs dynamic secrets and just-in-time credentials. It also automates credential brokering, providing a secure method to access services and hosts, in conjunction with HashiCorp Vault.
