What is blat?
Blat is a small, efficent SMTP command line mailer for Windows. It is the SMTP sending part of an eMail User Agent (MUA) or eMail client. As such, Blat sends eMail via SMTP (or internet eMail) from the command line, or CGI. Blat is useful for creating scripts where mail has to be sent automatically (CGI, backups, etc.) To use Blat you must have access to a SMTP server via TCP-IP
Comments and Reviews
The once go-to Windows command line email tool, and one of the few with POP3 and NNTP support, Blat is now showing its age. That's probably why you are here, searching for a more modern alternative with TLS support. Fortunately, there are a few good alternatives on this site to choose from.
