First it is strange cause there's no menu. But then you'll remember that there was a list of key commands at the github page...
And all becomes clear :)
This is a wonderful text writing application. Available as an appimage!
You can save your files wherever you want. There are no related files, jut pure markdown.
The key control is FABULOUS ! You can do everything, only the CTRL+C is a little strange, cause (on Linux) it copies text NOT to the main clipboard but to the one you can paste...

Exactly what I was looking for! Tried some alternatives but most of them have bad UX. Like the keyboard-first stuff...
A nice distraction-free writing tool in Markdown syntax. While you are writing, the document is saved permanently automatically. The last document is loaded at next program start. You can switch between light (default) and dark mode. But what I miss is a full screen mode and a way to set the font.
Addendum: Blank no longer runs under Debian 12.10 (Bookworm). Error message: blank: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libm.so.6: version

Speaking of which, copy-pasting works into a Libreoffice document perfectly, preserving the structure, the styles (headings and all).
Blank really is based on a cool concept and works flawlessly as a super-fast application.
