"lock filesystems and write changes into RAM" The above quotation is how packages.ubuntu.com's package maintainer describe the program. (https://packages.ubuntu.com/jammy/bilibop-lockfs)
It freeze your root partition but also other partitions if you wish to but writes the changes to the RAM. to enable the program one must edit the "/etc/bilibop/bilibop.conf" file and add the "BILIBOP_LOCKFS="true"" variable to it. then save and of course reboot.
Below quote is from https://packages.debian.org/sid/bilibop-lockfs : "Bilibop helps to maintain a Debian GNU/Linux operating system installed on an external media (USB, FireWire, Flash memory, eSATA). It hardens standard rules and policies to make the system more robust in this particular situation."
