I am not a librarian and I don’t have programming skills, I’m just a regular user who wanted to organize my personal book collection. Biblivre worked surprisingly well for me and was easier to set up than I expected.
My favorite feature is the option to print labels similar to those used in professional libraries. It makes organizing a lot easier. BibLivre provides a good variety of label formats, so you don’t waste them, and this makes a private collection look much more polished.

The main drawback is the lack of GUI customization. To change things like the cover photo or appearance, you need to edit files manually, which isn’t intuitive for someone who isn’t tech-savvy. On the positive side, Biblivre lets you choose which book attributes to use, exclude others, and even go deep into customizing MARC attributes. I may not take full advantage of that, but I’m sure those with knowledge in library science can explore and enjoy its full potential.
