PassMark is a name that can be trusted and despite not being updated for so long this software just works. Being able to change sample frequency is good for reducing power usage and saving battery time. It's free for personal use too.
I see this as a kind of simple GUI front end for native Windows battery checking software.
This app is free for personal use, though that seems not to be mentioned on the PassMark site. Just thought I mention that clearly here, because when I was about to download this from their site I almost thought they had started to charge.
On the site it says that a single user license for 1-4 persons costs 28 USD [passmark.com/products/batmon/price.php], and no mention of private use.
But in the installer, the license agreement says: "BatteryMon is free for personal use. However, for company use BatteryMon is $24.00 per license. For evaluation purposes, companies can freely use the software for up to 30days. If they wish to keep it then they are required to purchase a copy."
Estimates the current capacity of the battery, compared to the manufacturer's capacity. As far as I can see, it's a free download, with no restrictions, despite what it says on the website. The last update is 2013, but it works just fine.
