Comments and Reviews
Backgrounder is a mixed bag, though. Along with the battery issues that I described (which you can probably avoid if you're careful), it tends to make all of your apps crash when you overload your iPhone's processor. The iPhone wasn't designed to run all that stuff; Apple knew what they were doing when the only allowed one app at a time. So expect lag and occasional crashing.
Only the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4 get multitasking with iOS4, and even then, all the feature does is freeze an application so that you can switch to another. True multitasking is only available for a select few apps.
Backgrounder brings true multitasking to every single app on your iPhone, so I can, say, download an app from Installous and play a game at the same time. Just don't accidentally leave one of your applications running, or your battery is screwed. :P
