Baby Vault information
What is Baby Vault?
An alternative to Huckleberry, Baby Tracker, Glow, and similar apps -- built by a parent who needed accurate recall for pediatrician visits without surrendering their child's health data to third-party servers.
Baby Vault stores all data locally in the browser's IndexedDB. There is no backend, no user accounts, no telemetry, and no cloud sync. The app is a static frontend served from a single origin. Data never leaves the device unless explicitly exported by the user as a JSON file.
The motivation is simple: new parents need precise activity logs for healthcare visits, but existing trackers demand account creation and cloud sync -- effectively monetizing intimate infant health data. Baby Vault eliminates that trade-off entirely.
Activity Tracking
15 activity types organized into timed and instant categories: Sleep, Diaper (pee / poo / both), Feed (breast / bottle), Medicine (name + dosage), Bath, Temperature, Tummy time , Weight, Pump, Height, Playtime, Solid food (with reaction tracking), Outdoor, Spit-up (severity), Cry (with reason)
17 chart and visualization components covering sleep, feeding, diaper, growth, and behavioral patterns:
Witching Hour Heatmap – activity frequency by hour and day of week. Wake Window Scatter – wake window duration vs subsequent nap length. Feeding Side Balance – left/right breastfeeding distribution over time. Sleep Consolidation – trend of longest sleep stretch per day. Daily Sleep Total – bar chart of total sleep hours per day (noon-to-noon bucketing). Diaper vs Input – diaper output correlated with feeding input. Growth Curve – weight and height measurements plotted over time. Feed Interval Distribution – histogram of time between feeds. Diaper Frequency – daily diaper change patterns. Circadian Sync – radar chart comparing daily activity rhythms across babies. Golden Hour Overlap – overlapping sleep windows across multiple babies. Household Intensity – aggregate activity load across all babies. Resource Drain Velocity – resource consumption rate analysis. Sleep Pressure Gauge – visual gauge of current sleep need based on last wake time. Sleep Timeline – daily sleep totals as a timeline bar chart.
