What is Autoruns?
Autoruns shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. A "show non-Microsoft only" option helps you to zoom in on third-party auto-starting images that have been added to your system. You'll probably be surprised at how many executables are launched automatically. Language only english.

Helps a lot to remove old apps from autorun
A perfect example of the UNIX software design philosophy that extols the virtues of keeping programs tightly scoped to a single goal and seeking to provide every conceivable function which might be wanted while performing it. If you want to take full control of what a Windows computer is running quietly in the background whenever its on, this is what you should be using. It lays it all bare: registry entries, Start Menu shortcuts, registered services, all broken down into System and User scopes. This far into the Windows eta of computing, it's unforgivable for any Windows user not to have used this program at least once in their life.
Autoruns can help you stop some of the autostarts that you thought were unstoppable.. the ones that neither you nor HijackThis etc could remove before. Great program, but the selection tabs reposition themselves after selecting one, and that makes it a little difficult to navigate to use in a systematic way. Latest version 16/11/2023.
can't wait to try it
Great program for seeing what's going on in your system, but like all of these other "startup" programs, it doesn't include the ability to directly insert a new program to run, or even "run now", like Startup by Mike Lin does; therefore it's not a suitable direct replacement.
