With Air Display, you can use your iPad as an additional monitor for your Mac (Windows no longer supported) You can connect via USB (for the best speed and reliability) or Wi-Fi (if you want to walk around with your tablet).
Versions of the app are available for iOS and Android. The host software is free. (Don't accidentally buy the client if you want the free host!)
