Amazing story telling and very fun combat with interesting and unique fights
Hiya! I picked up AI Game Master a few days ago and I have been having an AWESOME time with it! First, I started a generic AI generated Fantasy World story / adventure and quickly got a feel for how to play the game, interact with the AI GM via the text entries, do combat, use items and interact with the world that I was playing in. I was attacked by a Dragon but using creative roleplay actions I was able to recruit it as a Companion, who now aids me, instead of defeating and killing it!
Next, I used the option to create my own World and Story, basing it on the Shadowrun RPG by giving the AI details about the Shadowrun RPG campaign setting in the World section and then describing the type of adventures I wanted my character to go on in the Story section. The AI GM created a brand-new adventure based off all of this information and my Street Shaman / Rocker has been having a blast exploring an abandoned corporate lab complex the rest of her rock band (NPC friends that I described and gave distinctive personalities in the Story section).
Playing an AI GM adventure feels like "Cooperative Shared Storytelling" where the RPG's Gamemaster works with you and tailors your adventure to meet your goals while still challenging you with puzzles, mysteries that you have to research and solve, and enemies that you have to defeat!
I have found that by carefully wording the descriptions of my actions in my text entries, and using some of my tokens for entries that are just descriptive roleplaying stuff that helps the AI GM get a better understanding of what I plan to do, including what my PC is currently thinking and feeling, just RPing interactions between my PC and her Companions or other NPCs, I am able to have more influence on the tone and direction of the story / adventure, and the AI GM will also use this RP information when it rewards me with loot Items after defeating an enemy or solving a puzzle or mystery!
