Visual Studio Code 1.114 introduces video playback in the image carousel, enabling users to view and control video files from chat attachments and the Explorer context menu. The #codebase tool now operates exclusively as a semantic search with a simplified index model, removing the need to manage local and remote indexes. Support for JavaScript and TypeScript has been updated to TypeScript 6.0, deprecating older configuration options. Additional improvements include the Copy Final Response chat command and Python environment detection enhancements.
