Plex introduces lists to create, organize, and share movies and TV shows with friends

Plex has launched a new lists feature, allowing users to create, manage, and share personalized lists of any title on the platform. This addition supports the organization of movies, TV shows, and episodes, letting users bring all types of content into a single curated view. Lists are now accessible on watch.plex, mobile devices, and Roku devices, which enables content management across key platforms.

With this update, users can start new lists from scratch, search and add media, rename lists, reorder or remove items, and even copy or edit public lists from others. Sharing options are included, granting flexibility for collaboration or recommendations. Following these usability enhancements, Plex ensures control over privacy by offering granular visibility settings for each list. Users can set individual lists as public, restricted to friends, or friends of friends, visible to anyone signed in, or keep them private.

While these core features form the initial launch, Plex outlines plans for future development, such as allowing more interaction with friends’ lists and streamlining the process of adding content through in-line searches. These ongoing improvements aim to further expand the utility and community aspects of list creation on Plex.
