Markdown note-taking app Bear 2.7 revamps TagCons and adds tag management option on macOS

Bear 2.7 is now available for Mac and iOS, focusing on visual updates and enhanced tag management. The update introduces a full redesign of the app’s 260 TagCons, which are the icons paired with tags throughout Bear’s note organization system. The new icons feature softer shapes and unified stroke weights, bringing their appearance in line with Bear's custom Bear Sans typeface and improving harmony across the Apple ecosystem.

Building on this, the updated TagCons are now visible not just in the sidebar but also directly in the editor. This integration means icons appear alongside each #tag in your notes, making content more visually engaging and further linking tags with their associated categories.

Following these design improvements, Bear 2.7 also offers an overhauled Edit Tag panel specifically for macOS users, streamlining the process of managing tags and accessing the extensive TagCons library. Additionally, users can now specify where tags are placed when dragging notes onto tags in the sidebar, offering greater flexibility when organizing content.
