Kagi adds browser extensions, mobile apps, and categories to its human-only “small web”

Kagi has rolled out a significant update to its Small Web initiative, introducing browser extensions and mobile apps as additional ways for users to explore the non-commercial side of the internet. These extensions are now available for Chrome and Firefox browsers, while mobile apps can be installed on both iOS and Android devices. All versions feature an expanded interface, adding new options to boost discovery and browsing.

Following the expansion to new platforms, Kagi has introduced curated categories that allow users to filter the stream of over 30,000 featured Small Web sites by topic. This category-based approach helps users discover content tailored to their interests, with just a dropdown selection needed to fine-tune the browsing experience.

Complementing these improvements, the extensions and mobile apps enable users to save favorite content, select by type, such as videos, comics, or code repositories, and view lists of recently accessed or highly appreciated sites. To further broaden access, Kagi has implemented a distraction-free reader mode, added a dyslexia-friendly font, and integrated text-to-speech support for enhanced accessibility.
