Telegram for Android gets a full Liquid Glass redesign, a new crafting system, and more

Telegram’s latest update delivers a full Liquid Glass redesign for Android users. The interface overhaul introduces a new bottom bar for quick access to chats, profiles, settings, and other key areas. Navigation and search are now more intuitive, while the rebuilt interface code enhances responsiveness and efficiency across the app.

Following the Android changes, iOS users gain a richer Liquid Glass visual effect, an improved media viewer, and new preview panels for stickers and emoji packs. Updated context menus make navigation smoother in user profiles and message selection. On iPad, a new keyboard shortcut allows sending messages with the ⌘ + Enter combination, streamlining workflows.

These updates are joined by new tools for group management. If a group owner leaves, ownership now passes automatically to an admin after a week. Group owners receive a confirmation prompt and can immediately assign a new owner for more direct control.

Telegram also rolls out a crafting system for collectible gifts, letting users combine up to four items to create Uncommon, Rare, Epic, or Legendary versions with unique visual effects. When multiple gifts sharing attributes are used, the likelihood of keeping those attributes increases in the crafted item. Additionally, bot developers now have the option to assign colors and emoji to their buttons, making interfaces clearer and interactions more intuitive.

Interesting decision. I do not enjoy the Liquid Glass visuals. I find it a bit too much.
