Google Chrome finally gets split view, PDF annotations, and direct Google Drive saving
Google Chrome has introduced three new features aimed at streamlining productivity for users. The update brings split view, an integrated PDF annotation tool, and a direct save option for Google Drive. With split view, users can work with two tabs displayed side by side, helping to minimize the constant switching between tabs and enhancing workflow efficiency. This was already available in numerous web browsers, and now, it's finally in Chrome too.
Following this, Chrome now includes a built-in PDF annotation feature. Users can directly highlight text or add notes to PDF files from within the browser, removing the need to download documents or use separate applications for quick annotations.
These enhancements are complemented by a new option to save PDF files straight to Google Drive. When using this feature, files are automatically placed into a dedicated “Saved from Chrome” folder, helping keep documents organized and accessible across devices without extra upload steps. Each of these updates targets pain points reported by users, offering a more cohesive and flexible experience for multitasking, markup, and document management.

Nice to learn about the update to split screen
Amazing work from Chrome to bring those nice features in the most used browser worldwide still. But I don't see myself going back to Chrome considering their drop of Manifest V2. I hope Firefox bring split view to their main browser too. In the meantime, I think I need to switch to the Zen browser
I switched to Zen Browser, the split view and Glance are really nice features. I really hope Firefox integrates split view, and all its forks.
Google seems to be sweating. Popups in the chrome store saying install Chrome, not allowing installs on Brave from Chrome Store, and now it's making things nicer with a split-view.
