Fish 4.5.0 fixes Vi mode regressions and drops terminfo dependency
Fish 4.5.0 addresses a series of Vi mode regression bugs, restoring key binding functionality and stability after issues in previous releases. The shell now permanently removes its dependency on terminfo and ncurses, simplifying installation but limiting support for some older hardware. Additional usability improvements include accurate history search cursor placement with wide characters and preventing ctrl-l from cancelling search. Compatibility issues when building on Illumos have also been fixed.
