Cloudflare introduces on-the-fly HTML to markdown conversion for AI agents

Cloudflare now supports automatic, real-time conversion of HTML content to markdown for AI agents and crawlers, using content negotiation headers. When enabled, AI systems can request markdown directly from participating websites, with responses including token count metadata and standardized content usage signals. This reduces token usage by up to 80% and improves efficiency. The feature is available in Beta at no extra cost for Pro, Business, Enterprise, and SSL for SaaS users.
