Opera brings redesigned history, Google Lens image search, video ad skip & two new themes

Opera's latest browser update brings a reimagined history experience. The redesigned interface now organizes visited websites by broader categories, making it easier to recall and revisit past activity. Users can select multiple entries from their browsing history and reopen them together as a Tab Island, leveraging Opera's advanced tab management system even when working with restored sessions. There is also a new option to delete all entries from a specific domain.

Following these usability enhancements, Opera has introduced direct support for Google Lens image search. Users can perform an image-based search by right-clicking an image and selecting the “Search image with Google Lens” option. This embeds powerful visual search functionality directly into the browsing workflow.

Additionally, Opera now features an experimental Video Skip feature. This tool lets users jump past ads to access video content, functioning independently of the native ad blocker status. Lastly, to expand customization options, the update includes two new dynamic themes: Obsidian and Cybercity. These additions were developed in response to recent user feedback to further personalize the browser environment.
