Mozilla introduces visual search powered by Google Lens on Firefox desktop
Mozilla is introducing visual search powered by Google Lens in Firefox, marking a notable update for desktop users. This integration allows Firefox users to search images in new ways by leveraging Google Lens. Once the rollout reaches your browser, you will be able to perform image-based searches simply and directly within Firefox.
By right-clicking on any image in the browser, users gain immediate access to powerful options to find similar products, places, or objects. The same menu will let users copy, translate, or search for text contained in images, making it useful for research, shopping, and learning. Following the integration, look for the new “Search Image with Google Lens” entry in your right-click context menu.
While this update is being introduced worldwide over the coming weeks, it is currently limited to desktop versions of Firefox. For this feature to be visible, Google must be set as the browser’s default search engine.

The last sentence brought a smile to my face. Was already annoyed by the idea of seeing this “feature” when I'd never use it, but now I know it will be hidden for me. 😊
