Thunderbird 140 released with “Mark as Spam” & “Mark as Starred” mail notification actions

Thunderbird 140.0 is now available as the latest update to Mozilla’s open source email client. The release adds two requested actions to mail notifications: users can now mark messages as spam or starred directly from the notification pop-up, offering more control and responsiveness to incoming emails.

Building on workflow improvements, Account Hub is now enabled by default when setting up a second email account. This adjustment streamlines the process for users managing multiple accounts within Thunderbird. In addition, several generic appearance settings have been relocated from the General section to the dedicated Appearance section, making customization more straightforward and intuitive for users seeking to adjust the interface.

Alongside these feature enhancements, Thunderbird 140.0 addresses a number of bugs and security issues. This focus on maintenance aims to ensure better stability and safer operation for all users.
