Screenshot editing software Gradia 1.7 adds new tool to showcase code snippet images
Gradia 1.7.0 is now available as the latest version of this free and open source screenshot editing tool for Linux users. This update introduces Source Snippets, a feature meant to help developers present code snippets within screenshots more effectively and beautifully.
Additionally, the release enhances the everyday editing experience. Exported image filenames are now more descriptive and include the image's creation time by default, which makes file management easier. The app no longer requires confirmation when closing if the current image has been saved or exported, reducing interruptions. Users can now rotate images in 90-degree increments, supporting more flexible editing workflows.
Following these improvements, annotation tools receive expanded options. Both Text and Stamp tools now offer optional outlines for clearer marking. In addition, color pickers have become non-modal, so users can select colors accurately without leaving the main editing window. These changes streamline the annotation process and provide more customization during screenshot editing with Gradia.
