PhotoPrism's latest update brings Ollama for Vision AI & map-based photo location editing
PhotoPrism’s latest release adds support for using Ollama models in its Vision AI service, giving users expanded options for AI-powered photo analysis. Alongside this, search performance enhancements make finding specific images quicker and more responsive.
Building on the photo management experience, the update introduces an “Adjust Location” dialog, which lets users set or correct photo coordinates by placing them on a map. Album management has also been improved, as albums can now be deleted directly from the toolbar, streamlining workflows.
For those managing multilingual collections, the language used for photo location details can now be customized. The update further refines core functionality with improved video handling, updated metadata processing, enhanced transcoding, scanner detection, and updates to command-line tools. A fix has also been included to address SQLite index update issues, which helps ensure data integrity.
While batch editing features are not yet available, they are in final development and scheduled for an upcoming release. The update rounds out with a collection of other improvements and bug fixes, enhancing stability and user experience throughout the platform.
