Markdown editor Typora 1.11 improves LaTeX support and updates Mermaid diagram library

Typora has released version 1.11 for Mac, Windows, and Linux, bringing notable new features for users seeking a minimal Markdown editor. In this update, LaTeX delimiters can now be enabled from the preferences' menu, expanding compatibility with standard Markdown and making the tool more versatile for academic and technical writing.

Following these compatibility enhancements, Typora 1.11 adds a keyboard shortcut using Alt + Up/Down. This shortcut lets users move a paragraph or row up and down within lists and all other blocks, improving the efficiency of content structuring and editing.

For visualization needs, the integrated Mermaid diagram library has been upgraded to version 11.7. This update introduces support for radar and treemap diagrams, along with other improvements to diagram capabilities. Alongside these updates, users will notice improved copy and paste operations across various syntaxes, as well as enhanced handling of videos, images, and emoji characters.

These edits also offer better compatibility with the Wayland display protocol on Linux. Typora 1.11 rounds out the release with the correction of several bugs to enhance overall usability and stability.
