GitNex 9.0 brings redesigned UI, Forgejo repository sorting, and Markdown alert support
GitNex 9.0 has been released as the latest version of this open-source Android client for Forgejo and Gitea repository management platforms. This release targets users managing code and issues from mobile, with support for both self-hosted and organizational repositories.
In this update, users will notice a completely redesigned home screen, bringing improved navigation and clarity. Repository sorting has been enhanced, with new options available for those using Forgejo 11.x servers. Markdown alert support is now featured, allowing for better in-app notifications and status updates. The login interface and app settings experience have both been overhauled for greater usability and modern appearance.
Following these primary changes, the changelog display has also been revamped, and the login screen now features a popup guiding users on how to obtain their access token — a helpful touch for onboarding new accounts. Visual improvements extend throughout the application, with refinements to themes for both light and dark modes. Additionally, this release addresses several issues: login screen glitches have been corrected, French translation on the appearance screen has been improved, and duplicate labels in issues and pull requests have been resolved.
