Geany 2.1 brings more built-in themes, Messages & Compiler output search, and much more
Geany 2.1, the latest version of this free and open source code editor, brings a suite of workflow and usability enhancements. Most of the official Geany themes are now bundled directly into the editor, making it easier for users to customize their workspace, though a few are omitted for licensing reasons. This update also adds support for searching within the Messages and Compiler output, alongside adopting platform-native file dialogs for a smoother interface on modern operating systems.
The release raises baseline requirements, now needing GLib 2.56, Scintilla 5.5.4, Lexilla 5.4.2, and Universal Ctags p6.1.20240519.0, shaping future compatibility and build environments. Building on feature enhancements, users now have quick filter access for the open documents sidebar and can further customize editor controls through new keybindings preferences. Editing efficiency has also been improved by supporting pasting and autocompletion with multiple carets.
Alongside these, the SaveActions plugin now supports persistent untitled documents. For Windows users, the editor displays a themed title bar, adding visual cohesion. Geany 2.1 also introduces updates for many filetypes, adds new ones, improves numerous language translations, and includes other enhancements and bug fixes.

Looks really really great and awesome, however I will stick to VS Code just a little bit longer, VS Codium perhaps? :P
