Tuta introduces smarter email search and a new calendar widget on iOS
Tuta has rolled out a series of updates to its privacy-focused email and calendar services. The search function now enables partial word searches, accompanied by a refreshed interface that highlights search terms for quicker identification. While these search enhancements are available on mobile and desktop apps, partial word search does not extend to the web client at the moment.
Additionally, Tuta has added a new SQLite-powered search index, empowering users to search in languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Arabic. Following earlier Android developments, Tuta has released a calendar widget for iOS, making encrypted schedules easily accessible on iPhone and iPad home screens. Both Android and iOS calendar widgets have also been updated to display shared calendars and birthdays, enhancing event visibility across both mobile operating systems.
These updates are now live. Users who have not yet updated their Tuta apps can access these new features by installing the latest versions of Tuta Mail and Tuta Calendar.
