Proton Mail introduces Newsletters view for managing subscriptions and inbox clutter

Proton Mail has begun rolling out a Newsletters view, aiming to streamline the way users handle email subscriptions. This feature, found in the sidebar, gives subscribers a dedicated space to manage newsletters, marketing emails, job alerts, promotions, and notifications, all outside the main inbox. The goal is to reduce distractions and make it easier to control subscription-based communications.

The Newsletters view organizes content into two separate tabs: one for active subscriptions and another for previously unsubscribed senders. This setup lets users quickly identify how often each sender emails them and spot newsletters they've stopped engaging with, aiding fast decisions about what to keep or stop receiving.

In addition to better visibility, users can view everything a sender has ever sent, then clean it up in bulk or manage individual messages right within the same page. Actions include moving, deleting, or setting rules for future emails. While other inbox-cleaning tools typically require full third-party access, Proton Mail’s built-in approach ensures that personal data remains private and secured within the service.
