NixOS 25.05 arrives with new and updated packages and updated GNOME 48 and Linux kernel

NixOS 25.05 'Warbler' has been released, delivering 7,840 new packages and updating 28,054 more, while removing outdated entries to improve maintainability. The update also brings GNOME 48 with new features, such as notification stacking, a new music player, and HDR support. The default Linux kernel was also updated to 6.12. This release will be supported with bugfixes and security updates for seven months.
