Inkscape 1.4.2 adds initial support for importing files from Vectornator / Linearity Curve

Inkscape version 1.4.2 is now available, delivering key compatibility and workflow improvements for vector graphics design users. The headline feature is initial support for importing Linearity Curve files — formerly known as Vectornator — which opens up easier migration and collaboration with users of that software. This release also brings substantial upgrades to Affinity Designer .afdesign file import, offering smoother file transfers for those working between applications.

Additionally, a new extension allows designers to quickly clean up vector paths, streamlining complex projects. Stability has also been targeted: the update fixes 20 different crash or freeze bugs, with many specifically addressing issues around PDF import reliability.

More than 50 additional bug fixes and smaller enhancements further polish the experience, including tweaks to Boolean operations, improvements in layer selection, a reduced minimum window width, and restored functionality for Spray tool buttons. The release also adds a refreshed splash screen and updates 14 language translations, providing a more accessible and visually refreshed experience.

Inkscape is very capable to import many file formats, but only supports few formats for saving. Most of the functionalities for Inkscape can only be saved as SVG (with some custom Inkscape data), so it won't allow modifying Affinity Designer file on the fly. Adobe Illustrator's ".ai" is one of the few proprietary vector file format that Inkscape supporting pretty well.

I use Affinity Designer, so this is huge news in terms of file interoperability.
