Google launches NotebookLM app for iOS & Android to listen to Audio Overviews on the go
Google has released the NotebookLM app for both Android and iOS, significantly expanding access to its tool for understanding complex information. With these new apps, users can now utilize smart summaries and ask questions about documents directly from their mobile devices. This makes it easier to reference and digest material while away from a computer.
Building on these core functions, the mobile apps let users create and access notebooks anytime, as well as pose questions whenever inspiration strikes. NotebookLM also adds podcast-style Audio Overviews, which support background playback and offline access, enabling users to listen to concise summaries or content analysis on the go.
While using a smartphone or tablet, users can seamlessly import content such as websites, PDF files, or YouTube videos by sharing them into NotebookLM, adding them as sources inside their notebooks. Both the Android and iOS versions support light and dark themes, automatically matching each device’s system settings for a consistent visual experience.
