Sketching & note-taking app Rnote just got a major update with new tools and enhancements
Version 0.12 of Rnote, a cross-platform application designed for sketching and taking handwritten notes, has been released, bringing a host of new features and enhancements. Rnote is an open-source, vector-based drawing application that caters to students, teachers, and drawing tablet users, offering functionalities such as PDF and picture import/export, an infinite canvas, and an adaptive UI for various screen sizes.
The latest update introduces a new laser tool with animations, tab overviews, and a thumbnailer for .rnote files. Users can now enjoy keyboard clipboard paste at the pointer location, multi-click selections, and new limit movement options for the vertical-space tool. Additional features include a confirmation prompt for file/folder trash actions, the option to open a workspace folder, and the ability to import encrypted PDFs.
Furthermore, version 0.12 enhances support for keyboard and uncommon key shortcuts, with improved clipboard pasting on platforms like macOS. The update also addresses numerous bugs, ensuring a smoother and more stable user experience.
