Popular IRC client mIRC releases v7.81 with several enhancements to mark 30th anniversary
mIRC, a long-standing Internet Relay Chat (IRC) client for Windows, has rolled out its version 7.81, marking its 30th anniversary since its initial launch. This update introduces an option in the display dialog to automatically align with Windows' dark mode, improving user experience. Additionally, it addresses an issue with server-specific settings not loading at startup and updates the OpenSSL library to version 3.0.16 for enhanced security.
In dark mode, the non-focus selected items in the treebar now feature more visible colors, and the nickname auto-color feature benefits from improved contrast ratios for better readability and accessibility. The update also includes custom dialog scroll properties pos N and page N, alongside several bug fixes to enhance overall usability and stability of the software.
