LXQt 2.2.0 released with enhanced Wayland support, file manager, and terminal emulator

The LXQt team has released version 2.2.0 of their lightweight Qt desktop environment, introducing several significant updates. A key enhancement is its improved Wayland support, particularly beneficial for multi-screen setups. The LXQt Wayland Session now aligns with the latest stable versions of supported Wayland compositors, ensuring better integration with the current ecosystem.

PCManFM-Qt, the file manager for LXQt, now offers custom terminal options and advanced string replacement for bulk renaming. It also prevents accidental navigation when Backspace is held in the filter bar, and enhances the “Open With” menu to show applications that can handle multiple file types simultaneously.

QTerminal and QTermWidget have received updates, addressing text rendering issues and introducing features like cursor blinking and mouse cursor auto-hiding. Additionally, LXQt's power management now supports power profiles, which can be viewed and switched in the battery context menu on the panel.

The update also includes improvements and bug fixes across various components such as LXQt Archiver, LXQt Panel, and LibFM-Qt, among others, enhancing overall functionality and user experience.
