Website builder Blocs 6.1 released with enhanced preview mode, icon manager & interactions
Blocs, a no-code website builder for Mac and iOS known for its non-subscription model, has released version 6.1, following its major 6.0 update four months ago. This latest version enhances the preview mode introduced in Blocs 6, allowing users to resize viewports temporarily in focus mode with a new resize control and switch breakpoints using a new preview control or keyboard shortcuts. Notably, time simulation capabilities have been added to Preview Mode, facilitating the testing of custom interactions that incorporate date and time logic.
Blocs for Mac 6.1 also advances the interaction manager with a new data() short-code, enabling data to be fed directly from triggering elements into custom interactions. Additional enhancements include a new time range if statement option, time zone support for time-related interaction rules, a new set attribute interaction rule, and productivity features such as place within and new keyboard shortcuts.
The update improves the icon manager, allowing users to export and share icon sets, with plans to add a new icon set category to the Blocs Store. Other features include button icon and horizontal scroll area alignment controls, class editor value adjustments via arrow keys, and an improved Video Bric with enhanced YouTube tag support.
