Tails 6.13 released with enhanced Wi-Fi troubleshooting and key software updates

Tails has released version 6.13 of its portable operating system, designed to protect users against surveillance and censorship. This update addresses common Wi-Fi issues in Tails and Linux by enhancing the Tor Connection assistant to report when no Wi-Fi hardware is detected, aiding in troubleshooting hardware compatibility.

The new release includes updates to key software components, with Tor Browser upgraded to version 14.0.7 and the Tor client updated to version 0.4.8.14. A notable feature in this update is the ability to detect partitioning errors when Tails is started for the first time, resolving failures in creating Persistent Storage on a new Tails USB stick.

Additionally, version 6.13 fixes issues with the Configure and Show Log buttons in the notification dialog, which appear when the installation of additional software fails.
