Nitrux 3.9.1 “mk” released with Linux kernel 6.13, new Fiery web browser, and much more

Immutable Linux distribution Nitrux has released version 3.9.1 “mk”, featuring numerous enhancements and bug fixes. This update is built on the Linux kernel 6.13.8 and includes updates to key software components such as MauiKit, MauiKit Frameworks, and Maui Apps version 4.0.1, Qt libraries version 6.7.2, and KDE Frameworks libraries version 6.8.0.

The release incorporates the Nitrux Update Tool System version 2.2.2, NVIDIA Linux x64 Display Driver version 570.124.04, and AMD Open Source Driver for Vulkan version v-2025.Q1.3. Other notable updates include MESA 3D Graphics Library version 25.0.1, PipeWire version 1.4.1, GRUB version 2.12-5, and CoreCtrl version 1.4.3.

Additionally, it brings new versions for Podman, Docker, Git, and Python, among others. The linux-firmware package now includes newer files from the Linux firmware repository, enhancing driver support. Sysctl settings and desktop configurations have also been refined for improved performance.

The release debuts the Fiery web browser, based on Qt WebEngine and built with MauiKit, and includes AMD ROCm for AI and HPC workloads on AMD GPUs.
