FreeBSD 13.5 released as the final update to the FreeBSD 13 series

FreeBSD 13.5 has been released as the final update for the FreeBSD 13 series. This update includes minor software updates for applications such as XZ, SQLite, and OpenSSH. Additionally, FreeBSD 13.5 introduces support for Purism keyboards with Coreboot, transitions Realtek 8156/8156B network driver support to the URE driver, and adds compatibility with Brainboxes USB-to-serial adapters.

The update also brings general network improvements, enhanced hardware support, and improved virtualization capabilities. Users should note that AGP is planned for removal in FreeBSD 15.0, with its deprecation now stated in the man page. As this is the final update for the FreeBSD 13 series, users are encouraged to plan for an upgrade to the current FreeBSD 14 stable series or consider the upcoming FreeBSD 15.0 release.
