Czkawka 9.0 brings faster duplicate file search and many other performance improvements

Czkawka, a free application designed to efficiently remove unnecessary files from computers, has launched its 9.0 version. This update focuses on refining existing functionalities and enhancing performance rather than adding new features. Key improvements include optimizations for faster duplicate file searches, particularly with large datasets. The buffer size for file I/O operations has been increased to 2 MB, improving performance under heavy hard drive loads.

Version 9.0 also introduces near-instant scan interruption for hash calculations without performance loss. Scan progress is now more detailed, showing both the number of scanned files and total bytes processed, offering clearer time estimates. Enhanced multi-threading capabilities improve the performance of checking file group linkages via hard links. Additionally, the update includes faster image resizing, a portable mode, and various other enhancements.

@cel I'm all for native languages. In fact, I speak three and English is not my native one But I think we can agree on the fact that Polish names aren't particularly easy to pronounce for non-Polish speakers (which is to say around 99.4% of the world)

The name is Polish. I think it's beautiful that developer showcase their native language on their project.

Beautiful doesn't mean relevant. I like foreign languages, but this will just seem fishy to a lot of users...
