ClickHouse acquires HyperDX to boost open-source observability and integration
ClickHouse, a prominent open-source column-oriented database management system, has announced its acquisition of HyperDX, an open-source observability platform built on top of ClickHouse. This strategic move aims to enhance ClickHouse's offerings by integrating HyperDX's advanced UI and session replay capabilities with its own high-performance database technology. ClickHouse emphasizes that the acquisition is an acceleration of their services rather than a disruption, with the HyperDX team joining forces to advance open-source observability.
HyperDX Cloud will continue to serve and onboard new customers, while the open-source project remains under active development. This collaboration is expected to benefit both ClickHouse and HyperDX users, as well as the broader open-source community. Concurrently, HyperDX has released the latest HyperDX v2 beta, introducing features such as session replay support, OpenTelemetry metrics, alerts, saved searches, dashboards, and user management, thereby expanding the potential for ClickHouse-native observability.
