Wine 10.2 released with updated VKD3D library, better thread handling, Wow64 mode and more
The Wine team has announced the release of version 10.2 of its compatibility layer, which enables Mac, Linux, and BSD users to run Windows programs and games on their systems. This latest update brings several key enhancements, including the update of the VKD3D graphics library to version 1.15, which is built on top of Vulkan.
A notable addition in Wine 10.2 is support for setting thread priorities, allowing for more efficient multitasking and performance management. Furthermore, a new Wow64 mode can now be enabled dynamically, enhancing the flexibility of running 32-bit and 64-bit Windows applications.
The update also marks further progress on the Bluetooth driver, improving connectivity features. Alongside these changes, Wine 10.2 includes various minor enhancements and bug fixes, contributing to a more stable and robust user experience.
