Lutris 0.5.19 brings enhanced Proton integration and other enhancements for Linux gamers
Lutris has launched version 0.5.19 of its game manager for Linux, introducing several significant updates. The new release removes the inclusion of DXVK, VKD3D, D3D Extras, and DDXVK-NVAPI in Proton versions, as Proton will now manage these components. It also addresses Proton integration bugs, ensuring Proton-fixes are applied effectively. Additionally, the Enable Esync and Enable Fsync settings are now passed to Proton, and DXVK's integrated D8VK is enabled within Proton.
Additionally, users can now set the location of the emulator BIOS file used by libretro in the preferences. The MAME Machine setting features a searchable entry to navigate its extensive list. The update also adds support for importing Commodore 64 ROMs. Lastly, for collections from GOG.com and Itch.io, Lutris now automatically retrieves the release year of each game title.
