Firefox 135 released with extended translations, new tab layout, and security enhancements

Mozilla has announced the release of Firefox version 135, introducing several new features and enhancements. This update expands Firefox Translations, adding support for translating pages in Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean, with Russian now available as a target language. Additionally, the credit card autofill feature and AI Chatbot access are being gradually rolled out globally.

Firefox 135 enforces certificate transparency, requiring web servers to provide proof of public disclosure for certificates issued by a certificate authority in Mozilla's Root CA Program. The CRLite certificate revocation checking mechanism is also being implemented, enhancing performance.

To improve user experience, Firefox now includes safeguards against excessive history entries caused by sites abusing the history API. macOS and Linux users now have the option to close only the current tab when using the Quit keyboard shortcut with multiple tabs open. The refreshed New Tab layout introduced in Firefox 134 is now available in all countries with where Stories are available.

The update removes the Do Not Track checkbox, advising users to use the Tell websites not to sell or share my data setting for privacy requests. Additionally, the Copy Without Site Tracking menu item has been renamed to Copy Clean Link for improved clarity. Firefox 135 also delivers additional enhancements, bug fixes, and changes for developers.
