Instapaper launches high-quality AI Voices, redesigned TTS player, and Android app v6.4

Instapaper has launched AI Voices, introducing high-quality, streaming text-to-speech across 17 languages and accents. These include English (US and UK), Chinese, French, Italian, Japanese, Hindi, Spanish, and Portuguese. This update offers higher clarity and more natural sounding playback than earlier system voices and is available to premium subscribers using Instapaper iOS 9.4 (with Android support coming soon).

Following the voice upgrade, Instapaper has also redesigned its text-to-speech experience. Users can now control narration via a floating player anywhere in the app. This player allows listeners to expand the interface, select different AI voices, navigate playlists, or manage reading lists without interrupting playback.

Additionally, Instapaper for Android version 6.4 has been released, bringing improved search results, support for editing articles, folders, and tags, and introducing public folder access. Several other stability improvements and bug fixes are also included.
