You can now create polls in Signal group chats, with full end-to-end encryption
Signal has introduced polls to its group chats, a feature that users have requested for years. This new option, available in Signal's latest version, allows users to create and participate in polls directly within the conversation thread.
To create a poll, users tap the “+” icon beside the text field, select “Poll”, then enter a question and multiple answer options. The order of choices can be changed by dragging, and polls can be configured to allow either single or multiple selections, making them suitable for scheduling, voting on preferences, or group decision-making.
Once a poll is active, it appears directly in the chat, displaying the question and available options to all group members. Participants can review either current votes or the final results by tapping “View votes” or “View results”. Signal also shows the number of votes per option and who voted for each answer, adding transparency to group decisions.
While these features improve usability, Signal maintains its focus on privacy: all polls and votes are fully end-to-end encrypted. Only group members can see poll content, not even Signal itself. The feature is now rolling out on Android (version 7.65), iOS (7.86), and Desktop (7.80).

10 years later... not bad... when are they going to implement, buttons, forms, web apps, drop down menus, cards, and catalogues? in 30 years when the rest of super apps have 10x better things?
Finally! I have been waiting on this for so long! But instead they added scammy MobileCoin and useless stories
Great to hear they are finally adding basic chat features. If they manage to add a few more maybe normies could consider switching from WhatApp/Telegram.
